REPEALING THE 14 TOWER PLAN
In 2023, council passed a new development framework for 14 towers up to 40 storeys in 4 city blocks near the Moody Centre station. Councillor (and now Mayoral candidate) Haven Lurbiecki was the only vote against.

What is the 14 Tower Plan?
The Moody Centre TOD Framework is the current plan guiding redevelopment of four city blocks near the Moody Centre SkyTrain Station.
Approved by Council in 2023, it opened the door to 14 towers, including towers up to 40 storeys.
The Framework was fast-tracked without a dedicated community consultation process. Council then began approving major rezonings guided by the Framework.
Port Moody Voice understands the community does not support this plan and will repeal it. We will work with the community on a better plan, which includes a business and jobs district instead.
What Haven’s Record?
HAVEN VOTED AGAINST IT.
Councillor Haven Lurbiecki opposed the plan, citing opposition from previous community surveys. Instead, she proposed a referendum to allow the community to have a say. Council did not support Haven’s call for a referendum.
